    Cost:     Dismissal—until 4 pm: $20 per child, $15 per additional sibling; Dismissal—until 6 pm: $30 per child, $23 per additional sibling

Students will get to engage their imaginations. By using LEGO bricks to build, children learn the foundations of architecture and construction. Each week comes with a different theme. Everything is awesome when you’re working and playing together!

  • Yoga with Ms. Kait; Grades prek-1st

    Yoga with Ms. Kait!: This course is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga and meditation through engaging yoga related activities for children. This class teaches children the basics poses of yoga with opportunities to try more challenging ones. Some of the basic poses include downward dog, warrior pose, cat pose, child’s pose and much more. These poses focus on developing a clear and safe alignment and increase flexibility in foundational poses. Students will be asked to bring a water bottle, and a towel and/or yoga mat to participate in the program. Students will come to learn, play, and break a sweat in a fun and relaxing environment!

  • Warrior Tennis; Grades 2-5

    We’re going to have a smashing time learning and playing tennis. It’s a game that trains in hand-eye coordination and quick footwork.  Learn how to set, serve and slam. With all this training, you’ll be the ace of the court in no time. If you have your own tennis racquet, you may bring it to the class, otherwise, racquets will be provided. Lessons will take place indoors, so please dress accordingly.

    Coach Page works at the New Egypt Middle School during the day. He is certified by the
    Professional Tennis Registry and has been playing tennis since 2005.  In addition, he played
    tennis at Ocean County College for 2 years and has given recreational tennis lessons to students since 2008.

    Grades 2-5
    3:25-4:25 or extended care until 6 pm
    Fridays - January 27, February 3, 10

  • Warrior Chess and Checkers

    This course offers instructional gameplay at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in checkers and chess.  Students will learn strategies in casual and competitive matches that will increase their math and deductive reasoning skills.  There will be opportunities for all students to participate with multiple opponents to increase social skills, good sportsmanship, and craft their techniques to becoming head of the club.  Their will be a competitive ranking system used for those that wish to participate in chess that will eventually be used for possible larger tournaments if possible.  Overall, students will walk away with at least the basics of the game if they are starting out and if they are already knowledgeable, they will have more variety of players to increase their abilities.  If you are looking for exciting edge of your seat competition, you have found the right place in Warrior Chess Club!

    Who: 3rd/4th/5th—Fridays
             Session 1:         Jan. 27, Feb. 3 & 10
             Session 2:         Feb. 24, March 3 & 17

    No class February 17 (school closed) and March 10 (early dismissal day)
                       
    Where: GHWES Art Room

    When: Dismissal—4:25 PM student pick-up or optional after care program until 5:30 PM

    Cost: 3 weeks of class for $28.50 OR 3 weeks of class and extended care until 5:30 PM (homework, games, crafts) for $43.50
