The Budget Control Act created an across-the-board spending cut (sequestration) that took effect in January 2013 because Congress could not agree on a deficit-reduction compromise. That cut hit Impact Aid school districts, including Plumsted Township.

This may be our best and only chance to get rid of sequestration once and for all! The Committee on Education Funding's advocacy team put together an action alert to be used over the next week as part of a targeted advocacy campaign on the Budget Conference and sequestration.

Please “take action” by contacting your federally elected officials and tell them to end sequestration. Follow the link to a customizable letter and then share the link with your friends and colleague and ask them to also take action: http://capwiz.com/nafis/home/
