    The Band Experience

    The band program is for distinguished students seeking additional music experience in a large instrumental performing ensemble.  This ensemble is treated as a professional performance opportunity of high quality and caliber beyond the general music classroom.  All of the repertoire chosen for this ensemble have higher than average music demands and challenges every student’s instrumental and music theory abilities.  We are looking forward to the upcoming seasonal winter and spring concerts as well as additional volunteer community concerts throughout the year.  Students are expected to participate the full year with appropriate behavior and attendance while continuing to achieve academic goals in the general classroom.  Band registration is open to all students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.  Here’s to another successful year of playing beautifully together and making musical memories to last a lifetime.


    Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 26th 2023.  All rehearsals are held in the elementary library from 7:40-8:40 am on Thursdays for all band members, Wednesdays for flute, clarinet, and saxophone players, and Tuesdays for trumpet, trombone, and drum players.  Students are expected to be prepared for rehearsal with their instrument, music stand, folder, sheet music, and a pencil.  Students will be released to their classrooms during student arrival.  For student safety, please wait for Mr. Beere or a security personnel direction to release students in the front lobby prior to rehearsal start times.

    Instrument Rentals

    Instrument rental is available through Music and Arts corporation by following the link below.  When choosing the instrument, your choices for our band are flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or percussion combo kit.

    Band Instrument Rental Services


    Our winter concert will be held on December 20th and our spring concert will be held in May or June at the high school auditorium open to the public free of charge.  Band members should arrive at the high school stage through the side doors and be on stage ready to warm-up at 5:45 pm prior to each concert.  Doors will open at 6:15 pm.  Winter concert attire will be black pants or skirts/dresses with white tops and black socks and shoes, no t-shirts, jeans,  or sneakers for the winter concert.  Spring concert attire will be black pants/shorts/skirts with grade level t-shirts.  Students are required to bring their own sheet music to each performance.  Additional performance details will be communicated via Parent Square.
