Hello, my name is Mark Dyba. I was born to Polish immigrants outside Chicago on . . . I'll just spare you the gory details. Suffice it to say, though, I do indeed teach American History from the French and Indian War era to the Era of Good Feelings (1750's to 1820's ish). In the class, grades will be awarded for big smiles, determination, and the raising of fists in opposition to tyranny (also, open-book tests, notes tests, projects, the occasional paper, and the Q and A (question-and-answer) of the Day). Most all work will be done in the hour that I have the students which should be sufficient for completion of tasks unless the student does not focus and get to work, in which case they will then have homework.
I do indeed enjoy my job and have come to appreciate the simple goodness in the community of New Egypt. Having said that, if any questions arise, please give me a call or drop me a line and together we'll figure out the best path for your son or daughter.
