Mrs. Michelle Halperin-Krain Ext. 4206Ms. Halperin-Krain is a Jersey Girl through and through! Having grown up in North Jersey and graduating from an Essex County High School, Ms. Halperin-Krain continued her education by earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish & Communications from Rutgers College, New Brunswick. After working in the private sector for a number of years, Ms. Halperin-Krain returned to another New Jersey school, Montclair State University, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree with a focus in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Halperin-Krain then worked as an inclusion teacher in the Livingston School District and as a kindergarten, fourth grade and sixth grade teacher in the Orange School District. After relocating with her husband and two children to Monmouth County, Ms. Halperin-Krain accepted a position at Joseph C. Caruso School in the Keansburg School District. While there, Ms. Halperin-Krain earned her administrative certifications in Supervision, Principal, and School Administrator through NJEXCEL. Over her thirteen years in Keansburg, Ms. Halperin-Krain worked as Whole School Coordinator, District Data and Assessment Coordinator, District Data and Assessment Supervisor and Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for grades Pre-K through 12. Joining the District in 2016 as Director of Literacy, Ms. Halperin-Krain is excited to continue her career with the talented teachers and administrators in Plumsted.
Business Administrator
Mr. Sean Gately Ext. 4200
Mr. Gately was appointed Business Administrator/Board Secretary of Plumsted Township School District in August 2010. Prior to his current service in Plumsted, Mr. Gately served as the Business Administrator/Board Secretary in Teaneck Public Schools and Spring Lake Heights School District. Mr. Gately also served as the Director of Support Operations for the East Brunswick Public Schools and a Staff Accountant for the Paterson Public Schools. Mr. Gately earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Indiana University and an accounting degree from William Paterson University.Director of Student Personnel Services (Guidance)
Mrs. Jessica Drucker Ext. 1408Mrs. Drucker graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing. While attending Monmouth University, Mrs. Drucker returned to her Alma Mater, Brick Memorial High School, where she was appointed as the Varsity Gymnastics Assistant Coach and held the position for 10 consecutive seasons. Her love for helping others and guiding and supporting her athletes, led Mrs. Drucker to leave the corporate world and begin her teaching career at Brick Memorial as a Comprehensive Business teacher. During her time as a teacher, she had the privilege of teaching courses such as AP Macroeconomics, Marketing, Senior Seminar, and Business Law. After a few years of teaching, Mrs. Drucker decided to follow her dream of becoming a school counselor and received her Masters of Arts in School Counseling from Georgian Court University and fulfilled the requirements to receive her Director of School Counseling certification. Shortly after graduating, Mrs. Drucker was hired as a high school counselor in Hazlet, NJ. In January of 2019, Mrs. Drucker joined the Plumsted Township School District as the Supervisor of New Egypt High School’s Guidance Department. In July of 2020, Mrs. Drucker was appointed to the Director of Student Personnel Services & Guidance. She is now responsible for district testing, scheduling, and coordinating all PK - 12 school counseling services.Special Education Director
Alyson Nechamkin Ext. 5005Ms. Nechamkin has been working in education for over 20 years. She went to Monmouth University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She has certificates as a Teacher of the Handicapped and as an Elementary School Teacher. In addition, she has certificates as a Supervisor, a Learning Disabilities Teacher- Consultant (LDT-C) and as a Student Assistance Coordinator. Ms. Nechamkin also has a Masters of Science as a Principal and a Masters in Education in Educational Counseling. She started her career as a special education teacher before becoming a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant on a Child Study Team. She was also a Coordinator of Special Services before becoming a Director of Special Education. Ms. Nechamkin is passionate about advocating for students, ensuring that their educational, behavioral, and social/emotional needs are met.Principal, New Egypt High School
Mr. Fred Geardino Ext. 1400Mr. Geardino was appointed Principal of New Egypt High School after holding Principal, Vice Principal and Supervisor positions in Perth Amboy for nearly 10 years. Mr. Geardino graduated from Kean University with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical Sciences. Mr. Geardino was an initial member of Kean University's New Jersey Center for Science, Technology & Math Education (NJCSTME). Before moving into administration, Mr. Geardino taught Algebra I in Hillside and Woodbridge and was lucky enough to coach 3 sports at the secondary level.
Assistant Principal, New Egypt High School
Mrs. Carolyn Videla Ext. 1400Mrs. Videla completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 1997 from Hofstra University. She has dedicated the majority of her career to New Egypt High School where she started in 2000. Prior to New Egypt, Mrs. Videla taught one year at Mount Saint Mary Academy, in Watchung, and two years at Roselle Park High School. During her tenure as a Physical Education and Health teacher for New Egypt High School, Mrs. Videla developed the Physical Education and Health Curriculums and acted as lead teacher for her department. Mrs. Videla coached several sports over the years for New Egypt, but her accomplishments as varsity softball coach from 2000-2009 are what she is most proud of. Under her leadership, the team won 6 Conference Championships, 1 Rancocas Valley Elite Tournament Championship, 1 Ocean County Tournament Championship, 3 Sectional State Championships, and 1 Group I State Title . Mrs. Videla completed her Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Georgian Court University in 2006 and will now serve as New Egypt High School’s Assistant Principal.Principal, New Egypt Middle School
Mrs. Andrea Caldes Ext. 2100
Mrs. Caldes was appointed Principal of New Egypt Middle School in 2007 after completing one year in the Plumsted Township School District as the Assistant Principal of New Egypt High School. Prior to coming to Plumsted, Mrs. Caldes was Principal in the Union Beach Public School District and Vice Principal in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes began her career in Brick Township as an elementary school teacher. She then left Brick Township to teach and pursue professional opportunities in the Howell Township Public Schools. Mrs. Caldes has her master’s degree in administration and supervision from New Jersey City University and received her bachelor’s degree in education and psychology from Georgian Court University.Principal, Dr. Gerald H. Mrs. Tara Nesbihal Ext. 3000Mrs. Nesbihal was appointed Principal of the elementary school in January 2022, after completing four years as the Assistant Principal of the New Egypt Middle School and four and half years as Assistant Principal of the Elementary School. Prior to joining New Egypt, Mrs. Nesbihal taught grades 4 and 5 in Howell Township where she also served as an instructional coach. Mrs. Nesbihal received her bachelor’s degree majoring in education and psychology from Georgian Court University and her Masters Degree in Educational Administration from New Jersey City University.
Assistant Principal, Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School
Mr. Robert Cilmi Ext. 3000Mr. Cilmi was a special education teacher for sixteen years prior to joining the Plumsted Township School District as a Vice Principal. He began his teaching career in the East Brunswick School District where he taught grades kindergarten through five prior to moving to the Fair Haven School District. During his fourteen years in Fair Haven, he taught grades three through eight. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Cilmi has spent a great deal of time mentoring new staff members and writing curriculum in the content subject areas. Mr. Cilmi received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Rowan University and a post baccalaureate teaching certificate from Kean University. Most recently, Mr. Cilmi earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Georgian Court University.
Interim Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Mrs. Bonnie Casaletto Ext. 5127Mrs. Casaletto has an extensive background in curriculum supervision, leadership and human resource management. She is a graduate of Trenton State College (TCNJ), holds a M.Ed. from Seton Hall University and +30 through her studies at NJEXCEL and Thomas Edison University. She has also completed course work at the University of Virginia, Curry School of Education, Institute for Academic Diversity. Her professional experiences include teaching Social Studies in the Brick Township School District, for the OCVTS MATES Academy and at Jackson Memorial HS where she was honored to be selected for the Superintendent’s Teaching Excellence Award. In an administrative capacity, Mrs. Casaletto served as District K-12 Supervisor of Sciences and Social Studies in Monroe Township for fourteen years. Her most recent work includes collaboration opportunities as a Staff Developer, Curriculum Consultant and Instructional Coach where she engages and supports teaching professionals at Ocean County College and in cohorts across New Jersey and in the Collier County, Florida areas. Mrs. Casaletto joined the Plumsted Township School District in March 2022.
