About Plumsted
The Plumsted Township School District houses approximately 1150 students attending three schools: New Egypt Primary School, Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School, and New Egypt High School 7-12. The Plumsted Township School District offers a comprehensive curriculum to meet the varied needs of the students and prepare them for 21st-century skills and college and career readiness. Numerous programs are available to accommodate the student's individualized academic, social, and emotional needs. The district has prioritized the child's development (Mind, Body, Spirit) throughout the Pre-K through 12th Grade experience. The Plumsted Township School District is proud to have expanded our preschool through funding from the New Jersey Department of Education. This year, the district has increased the number of preschool classrooms to a total of eight classrooms. The full-day preschool is free to residents who meet each year's criteria. We will continue to follow our mission to inspire all students to realize their potential. In partnership with the community, a rich and challenging learning environment will develop critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and productive citizens in an emerging global society.
