NEHS Alumni Samantha North works in Belgium as an Anaplastologist
Samantha graduated from New Egypt in 2008. She completed her Undergraduate degree at Savannah College of Art and Design. While at SCAD she was a member of the Lacrosse team. After graduation Samantha attended Johns Hopkins University learning how to make facial and ocular prosthetics. Samantha knew she loved art and science, but never knew what to do with it. She became interested in this field when one of her best friends parents had a fake eye. She began to research this field during Senior Seminar and found Johns Hopkins programs. At SCAD she was able to tailor her Art program to meet the requirements for JHU. Following her one year at JHU she completed two internships with Anaplastologist in NY and Colorado. Currently Samantha is working in Belgium as an Anaplastologist where she meets with patients making ear, nose, eye and finger prosthetics.
